The Coppersmith Barbet is a species of the barbet family and is found on the Indian sub-continent and some parts of South-east Asia. As a colourful bird with a metronomic sound, these birds are found foraging over small berries, fruits and insects. These birds roam solo or in small groups. Coppersmith Barbets are one of the few species in which both sexes of one family carry out incubation.
The world’s 1st International Wilderness Week will be hosted online over 5 days with 18 hours each of presentations, scientific discussions and workshops, live excursions, reports from community events and much more. Help us make this a success.
The 1st ever REWILD Workshop took place on Friday 8th May 2020. 40 conservationists and researchers from 12 countries from two continents participated. Topics from 6 countries were presented in 9 presentations, and wilderness efforts for many more countries were discussed.
On 8th of May 2020, you are welcome to participate in the 1st REWILD Workshop 2020. It will be held online. Next to the workshop, you can also register for the 2nd REWILD Conference 2020 in Vienna (15th/16th/(17th) October 2020) and the 3rd REWILD Conference 2021 (provisional dates 14th/15th/(16th) October 2021).
